While we hope you’ll love your purchase the moment it arrives, we understand that sometimes things don’t work out. This page explains our return and refund policy in plain English so you know exactly how it works.
1. Our Commitment to You
We want to be transparent, therefore if there’s a genuine issue with your order, we’ll work with you to make it right. We want every Eris Leather product to leave our workshop with the quality you expect, and if it doesn’t, you’ll never be left without support.
2. What Can Be Returned
We accept returns on most products within 14 days of delivery. To qualify, your item must:
- Be in new, unused condition.
- Be returned in its original packaging with tags or accessories included.
- Come with proof of purchase (your order number or receipt).
Because our goods are crafted from natural leather, some variations in color, grain, or markings are completely normal. Marks and small changes in the leather aren’t flaws. They’re simply signs that the piece is genuine. Over time, real leather softens, darkens, and builds character the more you use it. That’s what makes it unique. Because of this, natural aging or minor variations aren’t considered reasons for a return.
3. What Cannot Be Returned
Some items cannot be returned or refunded, including:
- Customized or personalized products: Once we emboss initials, engrave a logo, or stitch embroidery, the item is made just for you and cannot be resold. These are final sale unless there is a clear manufacturing defect.
- Used or damaged goods: Items that show wear, scratches, or signs of use cannot be refunded.
- Items returned without original packaging: Proper packaging protects the product during transit.
4. How to Start a Return
If you need to return an item, here’s the process:
- Contact us within 14 days of delivery at contact@erisleather.com. Share your order number and the reason for the return.
- Wait for confirmation: We’ll send you return instructions and the return address. Please do not ship items back without contacting us first.
- Pack securely: Place the product in its original packaging and ensure it is well protected for shipping.
- Ship with care: You are responsible for the cost of return shipping unless we made an error or the product is defective.
Once the item is back in our hands, we’ll inspect it and confirm eligibility for a refund.
5. Refunds: Method & Timeline
Once we receive and check your return, we’ll process your refund right away. It will go back to the same payment method you used at checkout. We usually finish our part within three business days, but your bank or card company may need another five to seven days before the money shows in your account.
Prefer store credit instead? No problem. We can issue that immediately, and you’ll be able to use it on your next order without waiting.
6. Exchanges
Sometimes it’s not about a refund, you just want the item that feels right. If you’d prefer a different size, color, or even another product altogether, just let us know when you reach out. The exchange works just like a return: once we receive your original item in unused condition, we’ll send your replacement on its way.
7. Responsibility for Shipping Costs
- If the return is due to an error on our part (wrong item, defective product), we’ll cover return shipping.
- If you’re returning for other reasons (changed your mind, ordered the wrong size), the cost of return shipping is your responsibility.
We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as we cannot issue refunds for items lost in return transit.
8. International Returns
At this time, we primarily serve U.S. customers. If you are placing an order from outside the United States, please note that return shipping, customs duties, and related charges will be your responsibility.
9. Why Leather Has Exceptions
Leather is unique. No two hides are the same, which means no two Eris Leather products are exactly alike. A scar, a subtle shift in tone, or slight markings are natural features not flaws. We highlight this here so expectations are clear… variations in natural leather are not grounds for returns or refunds.
10. Final Sale Items
Along with custom pieces, some items may be marked as final sale during promotions or clearance. These cannot be returned unless defective. The final sale status will always be clear at checkout.

We believe in being upfront. This is why Eris Leather returns policy is detailed and clear so there are no surprises. We’d rather over-explain now than leave you frustrated later. If you’re ever unsure about whether your product qualifies for a return, just ask us before shipping it back.
